Self Advocacy: L.E.A.D. Coalition

The Coalition provides leadership development, training and mentoring, advocacy education and support for individual self-advocates and self-advocacy groups.

Financial Assistance

The Arc of Snohomish County Emergency Assistance Information

When funding is available, The Arc of Snohomish County may provide limited financial assistance to eligible individuals with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities (as defined by the DDA – Developmental Disabilities Administration) and their families.*

Sibling Support

Sibshops

Sibshops is a great place to meet other kids who have siblings with disabilities. Through games, crafts and fun, siblings are given the opportunity to feel as though they are the most important person of the day.

WA State Sibling Connection

WSSC strives to connect siblings of individuals with disabilities, creating a community of sibs who can support each other and share information and resources to address issues important to them and their families.

Special Education

The Arc provides assistance and resources to the parents and guardians of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, students, and professionals. We help parents understand special education laws, the Individual Education Program, and 504 plans so they can be more involved.

IEP Parent Partner Program

The IEP Parent Partners Program is a program that trains and matches IEP Partners with parents wanting support at their child’s IEP meeting.

Connecting Families

The Arc of Snohomish County fosters healthy families by offering many events throughout the year. The social events create opportunities for families to become engaged with their communities, meet others and have fun!

Parent Family Coalition

The Parent Family Coalition is a membershipdriven organization made up of families, siblings, foster parents, grandparents, kinships, individuals, guardians and other interested community members.

Parent-to-Parent

Parent-to-Parent offers emotional support, insight, and understanding for parents when they learn their child has special needs, or their child may be going through a transitional period.

Helping Parent

A Helping Parent is the parent/guardian of a child with a disability who completed training with the Parent to Parent Program that is matched with a parent of a child with similar experiences, needs, or disability.
